We’ve been raising critters most of our lives. Shawn grew up with chickens, and Nubian and Toggenburg  Dairy Goats. Jeanette has worked in dairies and horse training, and with Saanen and Alpine Dairy Goats. Of course, shortly after Shawn and Jeanette got together, the ensuing conversation over who had raised the better goat led them to select LaMancha Dairy goats…

Today, they raise Jacob Sheep, mixed breed dairy goats, Colored Angora Goats, and have a token horse, a llama, 4 cats, and 2 dogs.

Over the years, and during the move from Colorado to Arkansas, their focus on lineage  (read “keeping up with the registration process”) softened a wee bit. However, they’ve settled into their new digs now and have started the registration process again. How? They’ve renewed their membership with the JSBA and CAGBA, and purchased a new ram for the Jacob flock.

And the debate over dairy goats continues…
